I Want You To Want Me

We just want to be wanted sincerely. Mundanely sincerely, or profoundly sincerely. Any good story about humankind says this.

I have too many insights (read: scar tissue) about love and no way to prove them evidentially.

Kurt Vonnegut would say so, and he isn’t even a romantic of any kind.
Barbara Kingsolover would say so. In “Animal Dreams” or even in her farming book. And Animal Collective probably said it somewhere in the harmonies of “Sung Tung.” I bet.

I would place money on there being a phenotype found in American maize or Nigerian fingerlings in the coastal zones that say as much.

It’s everywhere.
